My Name is Peng Tat(Ping Da), from Singapore. I have always been very interesting to locate or or find some information regarding my surname and their origin. Its only recently that I chanced upon your website. However, my chinese isnt that good and wasnt able to fully omprehend the origin of my family name. I am always facinated with my heritage as I had never found anyone in Singapore sharing my surname of "zhang", therefore I thought it was rather unique and would be very interesting to investigate on it.
I wonder if you can provide me with a general or brief English translation of my family name's origin?
